Since more than half of bridges have been in service for twenty years in our country, and in addition, proof load increasing while updated, highway classification improving, it is apparent that there is something wrong with security, applicability, as well as durability of old bridges. Based on theoretical research of detection & evaluation and strengthening technology, the T beam supported bridge was tested under both static and dynamic load, in order to analyze the bridge technique condition and study the carbon fiber reinforcement technology. The research details in the paper are as following:(1) Analyze and summarize attenuation diseases and reasons of bridge resistance, expound the achievements of theoretical research and practical application on detection & evaluation and strengthening technology at home and abroad.(2) State non-destructive technology based on cosmetic defect and internal damage, and technique of structure test on the base of static and dynamic experiment, finally determine the bridge technique condition.(3) Discuss on the T beam supported bridge strengthening technology with 9×Φ6 carbon fiber bar embedded on the bottom tension region, and study the technical scheme.(4) Reinforce the bridge via the carbon fiber bar in practice, analyzing and summarizing both the construction technology and technical points.
