Abstract/Summary:
The Stirling engine is wide attention in recent years, which is a external combustion engine. Stirling engine has a lot of advantage that internal combustion engine don’t have, and it can be applied to industrial production and household heating and electricity. It has been became the world’s hot spot in these years. This paper is aim to design a 2k W Stirling engine, and analyze the performance of a miniature Stirling engine.According to principle that reduce minimize Stirling engine’s resistance, choose hydrogen as working fluid cycle gas. After reading relevant literature and information, designs the engine’s structural parameters in initial conditions, and takes practical isothermal analysis method to verify the correctness of the structural parameters. At first, establishes the adiabatic model of Stirling engine’s thermodynamic analysis. Then programs by using MATLAB program. Finally, completes a miniature Stirling engine numerical simulation, and sums up the way to improve the power and efficiency. The results of the study is that: the performance of the engine will become better when the hot temperature become higher, or the cold temperature become lower, or the average cycle pressure become greater, or the speed become faster, or the crank angle near 90°, or the stroke volume ratio near 1, or the effectiveness of the regenerator become higher. Gets on a simple analysis of a Stirling engine’s CHP system at the end.
