Dish-stirling solar power generation is the most economical and potential technology in solarthermal utility. As the key compoment, the research and development of stirling engine is drawingmore and more people’s attention. The Smit’s analysis method is used to compute a inclined disk driven four-cylinder double-actingstirling engine. And the parameters such as average circular pressure, operating frequency, stroke, cylinder diameter, dead volume of the heat transfer system.etc are obtained. Further analysis andcalculation of the heat loss and resistance loss have also been done.Using moving mesh to simulate the motion of the pistons in expansion chamber and compressionchamber,we conclude the regenerator effectiveness and pressure drop variation following the aspectratio and porosity. The result shows that when the porosity increase to0.76,the thermal efficiencydrops intensively. The design and optimization of the cooler is realized by the professional software ASPEN HTFS+. Merit-based selection of the cooler is according to the manufacture complexity, workingperformance and economy. And traditional thermodynamic method is carried out to verify the resultsof the software. The results show great consistence. For the purpose of piston rings and guide ring periphery design,we establish two-dimensionalaxisymmetric thermal models of piston and piston rings, and the temperature field which will give aguide for the design is obtained.
