Research On The Evolution Of Distribution Of Suzhou Industrial Park

Suzhou Industrial Park is the first China-foreign cooperation industrial park project,which build, development, transformation were in the front of east China, and it’s very successful. I wish, in this paper, I can analysis the park deeply by the research of its evolution of distribution so that other developing industrial parks can set it as a model.In the paper had studied thesis on the theory of spatial development and summarizes the major effecting factors, pattern, process. I reviewed the Suzhou Industrial Park’s entire development and divided it into three phases, than, I studied three kind of city functions- industrial, reside and traffic from spatial structure, spatial form and space function side. Summarized the Suzhou Industrial Park ’ s evolve characteristics and power system, Last, I put forwarded several optimization proposals for its long-term development.After long time study I divided the Suzhou Industrial Park overall development process into three stages: Point-like growth period(1994-2000), Pieces-rich period(2001-2007), Out expansion period(2008-2013). The form of evolution modes is“Surrounding areas before middle areas, form the core to the periphery”. The dynamic of spatial evolution from self-organization’s driving and other-organization’s driving.In the current, other-organization ’ s driving playing more important roles than self-organization’s driving. But, in the future self-organization’s driving will becoming stronger and last become core driving force. This paper argues that future Suzhou Industrial Park should strengthened its city functions, guided the industrial into clusters,increased productivity and livelihood ’ s service land, weaken the function zoning,strengthen land mixed using and improve the land intensive and compatibility.
