Resistance strain gauge is the most common product used in the electric measuring industry, with the advantages of light weight, small size, high measurement precision, wide application range, and good fatigue resistance and stability and so on. It is widely used to technology industry such as experimental stress analysis, appraisal of engineering structures, automatic detection and control. In recent years, with the rapid development of electric measurement technology, the market put forward higher requirements for quality and quantity of electric measurement product. According to the technical status and actual demand, for the problem of pressure load during the process of the resistance strain gage encapsulation molding, we design a set of precision pressure loading device used to resistance strain encapsulation.First of all, we put forward the general design idea based on the technology and performance requirements, then we design and layout the overall structure, and make separately the overall design of mechanical structure and control principle. Then, we make calculations and verification of ball screw pressure loading mechanism, servo motor, and synchronous belt transmission mechanism. A rack, motor bracket and other parts are designed and assembled by Solidworks software, and their engineering drawings are also designed. Static analysis of workbench and frequency analysis of the rack are done by Solidworks Simulation module. The analysis results show that the maximum deformation of workbench is 24.23 μm, the maximum stress is 125 MPa, which meet the requirements of rigidity and strength; the minimum natural frequency of the rack is 67.73 Hz, which meet the stability requirements. We analyze the control strategy of pressure loading, introduce control mode of servo motor, each interface terminal of servo driver and software of control system, and design the hardware of control system. Finally, we calculate the theoretical accuracy of pressure loading, when the pulse equivalent was 1μm/pulse, pressure loading precision is 0.5±0.0012 N, and built the test platform and the pressure loading experiment is carried out. The experiment results show that the actual loading pressure values are within 0.1% the range of error of the set pressure value, the accuracy of loading meet the technical requirements.The precision pressure loading device has been used to practical production of enterprise, not only achieves the expected requirements and meets the user requirements, but also has the advantages of simple and compact structure, maintenance and repair convenient, high control precision. It improves the production efficiency, reduces the production cost, and has achieved better economic benefits.
