Planetary gear transmission has been widely used in several mechanical transmissions because of its good concentricity, high loading capacity and the ability to work smoothly. To overcome the limit of the ordinary planetary gear transmission when it is used in special circumstances, modern machinery equipments has put forward such requirements as the miniaturization of the transmission mechanism, the big single stage ratio of the transmission, and the higher transmission efficiency for the planetary gear transmission. With the emergence and development of micro machining technology, energy saving, low power consumption, and technology-intensive small module micro planetary gear reducer, whose module is smaller than 1.0 millimeter, emerges as the times require, and has been applied to the work fields of small space and high precision. In order to further expand the micro planetary gear reducer’s single-stage transmission ratio and broaden the diversity of planetary gear transmission, this paper accomplished the research and the analysis of the micro planetary gear reducer by using the miniature planetary gear design theory, and combined with both the advantages of the less teeth(gear number 1 ~ 10) gear transmission and the planetary gear transmission. This paper mainly takes the high efficiency and the big single-stage transmission ratio of the micro planetary gear reducer as the research object to design and analysis the reducer and completed three aspects of research.First of all, according to the design requirements, this paper takes the 2Z-X(A) type micro planetary less teeth gear reducer whose sun gear tooth number is 4 as the research object, giving the detailed analysis and research on the structure, the operation principle and the overall design and the assembly method of the reducer, then determined the structural parameters of the micro planetary transmission.Secondly, with the use of the Creo software, this paper establishes the parametric model of the whole micro planetary less teeth gear reducer. After this, both the kinematics and dynamics virtual prototype model of the reducer are founded based on the ADAMS software to verify the validity of the model through the dynamic simulation. These researches are of important significance to improve the design method and to shorten the product development cycle.Finally, with the use of the ANSYS software, this paper carries on the static analysis and modal analysis of the planetary transmission mechanism, thus accomplishing the research and the design of the whole micro planetary less teeth gear reducer.The research of this paper not only expands the theory and the transmission device of the micro planetary gear transmission, but also broadens the actual application fields of the less teeth gear transmission drive, it has important reference value for the study of micro mechanical.
