With the speeding up of Chinese city development,environmental problems are becoming more and more serious.It brings a series of problems such as the shortage of resources.As an important part of the city ecological environment construction,the mount of green garden area is increasing year by year.However, the shortage of water resource has become one of the important factors of restricting the construction and development.China’s per capita water resource is the world average of 1/4.The represented by Tianjin in the north of China,has less annual rainfall, water resources shortage.Water-saving has become a permanent problem plagued the development of the city.So the development of water-saving landscape green space has important practical significance.Plant as one of the most important landscape elements of garden green space,consumes a large amount of municipal water every year.The current design rarely considers the relationship between plant landscape and water saving.Therefore, how to ensure the ornamental effect under the premise of realizing the maximization of water-saving and ecological coexistence is the key issues in the construction of the sustainable development of the garden green land.This paper reviewed the related concept and the basic function of plant landscape in water-saving garden.Analyzed the development of water-saving landscape green space at home and abroad as the typical cases;secondly summed up deduce water-saving green space plant landscape construction principles to be followed and the factors of the building;through the research method has been built in Tianjin city typical green space plant landscape as a case study analysis and the current situation of plant landscape research.Summarized its advantages in saving water and landscape as well as the existing problems.On the basis of theoretical research, comprehensive research results, summed up the methods to create a water-saving green space plant landscape;last through hands-on project as an instance--Lvshui park green space and Huanqiting habitat area.Analyzed the plant landscape design of residential area green space in the argument.Hope that through to the completion of this project, provide a theoretical reference and practice for the future of water-saving green space plant landscape construction.Theoretical analysis and study of practical application through the design and application of landscape plants in Tianjin city, green space and water saving,The results obtained are as follows:(1)Through reading a lot of literatures, summarized the development history and summarizing the current research status of domestic and foreign water-saving landscape situation, put forward to create the plant landscape should follow the principle, summed up the key factors influencing the plant landscape construction of water-saving green space.(2)Through the investigation of different types of Tianjin area of four typical city green space plant landscape,Analysis of the garden plant species, drought tolerance, ornamental, water saving, allocation pattern and plant landscape and environment coordination.Find the plant at the present stage city water-saving landscape to create the main problem is the lack of a winter landscape plant configuration,Evergreen tree species with less drought;The two is the lack of plant landscape complex layers of plant community structure.The rational use of the single structure of plant community is not conducive to water.The three is some garden lawn area is too large, large water demand.Four is the landscape topography slope gradient is not appropriate or not.Do not take full advantage of the terrain to the effective utilization of rain flood.And puts forward two kinds of suitable for Tianjin city water-saving landscape plant configuration mode of community.(3)Put forward the concrete method of water-saving landscape plants in city landscape:The first is a comprehensive analysis of status and requirements of the design environment.
