Energy is the basis for human survival. Nowadays, the energy crisis is increasing seriously. People have pay high attention to solar energy and wind energy, because these kinds of energy are inexhaustible, renewable and non-polluting. Solar energy and wind energy are both deeply affected by weather conditions, so they are uncertain. There is certain complementary characteristics between wind power and solar power in both time aspect and season aspect, so Wind-Solar hybrid generating scheme was adopted in this article. Real-time monitoring of important parameters in system is needed for analysis of actual operating parameters of critical components in wind-solar hybrid power system and estimate if the parameters meet the design requirements. In order to make up the defects of single resource generation system and monitor effectively, a wind-solar hybrid power generation monitoring system was designed based on MCGS configuration software in this paper.This paper analyzed the the necessity of the development of solar power and wind power, and the application and the research achievements of them in international. the existing characteristics of hybrid power generation monitoring system at home and abroad were summarized and analysed, and the basic principle of monitoring system were ensured, and overall structure and the design were expounded.Based on the MCGS configuration software to complete the PC monitoring system interface design, and machines parameters and running state could be monitored through the clear and friendly man-machine interface, and important data could be showed, saved and printed through the MCGS configuration software in real time. The communication of upper machine and under machine was set up on RS-32 / RS-485 serial port communication, which was in PC MCGS based on Modbus protocol. And communication mode, frame format and function code of Modbus RTU were illustrated, and the communication settings and applications in the upper computer and applications in the under computer of Modbus communication protocol were declared in detail.LPC2103 mcu was adopted as core of data acquisition system of lower machine in hardware aspect. Combined with the feature of hybrid power generation monitoring system, the design of clock circuit power, sound and light alarm circuit, button and display circuit, JTAG circuit, acquisition circuit and communication circuit in under computer were accomplish independently. The design of schematic for under computer controller, the drawing of PCB, and the writing of program of under computer function were all completed.In the lab, system test platform was built, the communication system was debugged. By the communication test of touch screen and monitor board, the monitor board could complete the data collection. By the test of the reliability of the system, we could know the function of system for data collection was accurately and in time, and the design of this system could meet the expectation.
