The problem of large accumulation of waste tires can be solved in adding waste crumb rubber in asphalt. And the performance of rubber asphalt is more outstanding compared with the ordinary asphalt. However, there are many problems due to the characteristics of rubber asphalt, such as:poor storage stability; it is difficult to be effectively controlled in the construction process. Therefore, the rubber asphalt needs to be improved and enhanced.By adding a certain proportion modified additives in the manufacturing process of rubber asphalt, the technical performance of rubber asphalt is improved, discussing the storage and paving of rubber asphalt, viscosity control of rubber asphalt and reduce segregation affect the stability of rubber asphalt is a new direction of rubber asphalt study.In this paper, performance test research and microscopic characteristic research of three kinds of asphalt named SANXIN, WUZHOU, YINGKOU, and test research on its mixture were studied. Penetration test, ductility test, softening point test, rotary viscosity test, elastic recovery test on SANXIN, WUZHOU, YINGKOU were proved that the performance indicators are outstanding. Rotary viscosity-time test results showed that the duration that rotary viscosity meets the standards of SANXIN, WUZHOU, YINGKOU was significantly higher than that of ordinary rubber asphalt. And we got the time range that rotary viscosity meets the standards of four kinds of asphalt, and which can guide us to use the asphalt in the right time. Rotary viscosity-temperature test results show that, as the temperature decreases, the value of rotary viscosity is increasing, and the rate of increase is increasing.SEM and EDS images were got by scanning electron microscopy test on the sample of SANXIN, WUZHOU, YINGKOU. The results show that, with time, the asphalt composite modified by rubber experienced a reaction from partial response to complete response, and then later detached from each other for the occurrence of segregation. It reflects the reaction conditions of the asphalt change over time, and verify its viscosity diachronic features.By asphalt mix design on SANXIN, WUZHOU, YINGKOU, mineral aggregate gradation and optimum bitumen-aggregate ratio was got. Rutting test, splitting test, low-temperature bending test and immersion Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test of asphalt mixture was conducted to test the performance of asphalt mixture. The results showed that the performance indicators of asphalt mixture have excellent road performance.
