In recent years, with the rapid development of transportation industry in China, the highway bridge construction technology has been great progressed. In the meantime, due to the bad natural environment, complex construction process, management difficulties, and so on reasons, safety accidents happen frequently, caused serious casualties and property losses. Therefore, it is necessary to study on safety risk problems in highway bridge construction.After analyzed the research status in this field, it established the security risk assessment method based on the theory of ANP, and the method was used in highway bridge construction. It includes the following three parts.First of all, it introduced the risk identification method based on WBS-RBS, then used this method to identify the safety risk factors in the subdivisional works of highway bridge construction, then used this safety risk factors to establish the risk evaluation index system.At the next stage, it introduced the reasons of choosing the risk assessment method based on the theory of ANP, established the risk assessment model based on the theory of ANP, then took one actual highway bridge as an example, using this model to calculate the weight sorting of the safety risk factors in the rotary bored pile project, and determined the security risk rating of the rotary bored pile project, at last, through expert analysis, proved that the evaluation results conform to reality. In order to solve the problem that the ANP model was very difficult to calculate, the software which named Super Decisions was used in the article.Last but not least, in order to reduce the probability of safety accidents and losses, it used the control method based on PDCA cycle, and it gave a number of safety risk control measures for the key risk factors found in the example of the actual highway bridge, and the risk control measures were divided into two parts, one was about strategy, another was about technology.
