CFRD with its economic, security, simple construction, adaptable, etc., in recent years gradually became a competitive type of earth-rock dam. At present, China CFRD is in rapid development period, a large number of difficult, high-tech CFRD isunder design or under construction. CFRDconcrete face as a core part of the system, its security is directly related to the security of the entire dam or reservoir. The state of stress and deformation of concrete panels and their impact factors has become the focus of attention. With the development and complete of the numerical simulation calculation method, this method has been widely applied in prediction analysis of the deformation and stress of the CFRD.In this paper, China Water Resources and Hydropower Research Institute "300m high level CFRD deformation properties and measures of deformation control" was the supported project. Using fine numerical simulation, stress and deformation properties of the CFRD face and its influencing factors were discussed and researched.Through the calculation of CFRD typical grid, revealed the general regularity of the deformation and stress of the dam body and face, expounded the mechanism of deformation and stress of CFRD.In this article, through using comparison of different grade concrete as CFRD face material in calculation,has discussed the face concrete grade impact on the deformation and stress of the face.Using a simplified vertical joint filler model and parameters, analyzed the different mechanical properties offace vertical joint filler influence on the deformation and stress of the face, has suggested to use materials that have the same mechanical properties of birch as vertical joint filler of panel.This article used different modulus on secondary rock-fill and different distribution rangesin calculation, to analyze the dam material partition effects on the deformation and stress of the face.According to the calculation of CFRD grid that has abrupt change in dam abutment, has investigated the influence of terrain conditions on the deformation and stress of the face, suggested settingcompacted modulus increasing districtto decreasethe effects of terrain conditions.And by changing the impounding process, studied the influenceof impounding processes on the deformation and stress of the face, suggested that if the construction conditions allowed, using multistage impounding process schemeto improve the deformation and stress condition of CFRD face.According to the design data and related materials, numerical simulation is carried out to analyze Cihaxia CFRD.Through the analysis of influence factorsof the deformation and stress of the face,has carried out secondary rock-fill p acking optimization, impounding process optimization and set up the compacted modulus increasing district to the design of the Cihaxia CFRD, which provide guidance for engineering design and construction.
