Research On City Urban Greenway Planning And Design

Urban greenway, as a linear green open space for severe and complicated urban built-up area environment, is an effective way to improve urban green space system, repair urban ecological environment, inherit historical and cultural context, and harmonize economic development and environment protection. It plays an important role in forming scientific and reasonable space, continuous and complete landscape pattern, health and orderly ecosystem, which merits concern and attention.With environment problems caused by urbanization and increasingly attention to ecological construction, as well as the growing leisure demand, which makes urban greenway gradually become a tool to deal with these issues in the choice of era. With the rising of greenway construction boom, it has realistic significance to research on urban greenway planning and design. Based on this background, this thesis uses the literature research, case analysis, analogy summary, system integration and empirical research, conducting specific investigation on the basis of carding the theory and practice of urban greenway related areas at home and abroad. The main results are as follows.(1) Deeply excavating rich connotations of urban greenway, including ecological connotation, landscape connotation, social connotation and economic connotation.(2) The constituent elements of urban greenway are divided into green corridor system and artificial system, and subdivided to nine sub categories one by one to explain and analyze in detail.(3) Summarizing the personality characteristics of urban greenway, including urban distinctive, resource integration, spatial scalability, ecological restriction, functional diversity.(4) A systematic study of urban greenway planning and design, putting forward controlled principles, planning overall framework, planning step processes, typical design patterns and design essentials etc. various contents.(5) By analyzing the division basis of greenway type from domestic and foreign scholars, which putting forward classification idea of urban greenway design patterns, including three water-type patterns (marina-type pattern, river-type pattern, lakeside-type pattern), three green space type patterns (park green space pattern, road green space pattern, production green space pattern), two wasteland-type patterns (industrial wasteland pattern, railway wasteland pattern).(6) Conducting the empirical study with an example to Xiamen urban greenway, which selecting Xiamen Island Road coastal greenway and Xiamen Railway Cultural greenway as representative objects. Based on the analysis of the original site, which pointing out ideas of different design patterns of urban greenway planning and design, summarizing the existing problems and putting forward the second design proposals. Furthermore, it provides guidance and reference for the development of the similar projects in the future.
