With the development of the world economy, the international trade is growing fast. Therefore it promotes the development of container liner service. However fuel consumption takes a large proportion of the shipping company’s cost. With the price of crude oil rising in recent years, marine fuel prices have gone up tremendously. Fluctuations in oil prices will have an impact on the costs and benefits, which brought enormous cost pressure on shipping industry. So control the fuel consumption of the containership for the shipping industry is of special significance.There is a great correlation between ship of fuel consumption and its sailing speed. Usually the faster of the ship sailing speed, the more consumption of the fuel. As a result, deceleration sailing is an effective measures significantly reducing ship fuel consumption in a short-term.However ship speed is one of the main factors which will decide the liner route ship distribution. Not only does it influence the ship roundtrip time, but also it has great effects on cost calculation and ship number of route distribution. On the basis of the shipping management and maritime economics theory, we study on fuel-saving mode of the ships routing. First, consider the researches of the predecessors, analysing the traditional of route distribution ship mode, and then consider ship speed, voyage time, distribution ship number, fuel consumption and fuel cost,we improve the traditional of liner transport route distribution ship model.In guarantee of the schedule, minimum operations cost,at the same time make each ship in fuel-efficient state. And then establishe reasonable distribution ship optimization model, using genetic algorithm for solution. By the practical examples, it showed that the model can simultaneously making ships routing and ship speed. The optimization is more realistic, transportation are more reasonable. It is of great impotance for liner shipping savings in fuel consumption.
