With rapid economic and social development, people’s requirements for shopping environment have been increasingly growing. Started from the simple requirement for survival, it gradually develops into purchase for entertainment, leisure, viewing and other spiritual staff, and business mode also changes according to customers’ demands. Therefore, a new shopping mode appears--shopping park. Shopping park appears due to the following to reasons: one is to fill the blank of customers demands to natural park, and the other is that business zone needs to be combined with park visiting, integrating the two as a whole. It can not only meet the public’s consumption demands, but also meet with entertainment demands of the public in spirit. Therefore the new mode is widely enjoyed by the consuming public once it appears, and gets increasingly developed. The thesis comprehensively summarizes the development process of shopping parks at home and abroad, and combines with living examples to present research achievements about shopping market and relevant topics obtained by designers at home and abroad in recent years, expecting to fully display the spatial form characteristics of shopping park, an emerging mode, to fundamentally shorten the distances between human beings and building, between human beings with city, and between building and city. It has great significance for commercial space development.The thesis starts from spatial form characteristics of shopping part, and progressively discusses the research object from the following aspects:Firstly, after briefly analyzing the economic, historical and social background of the development of shopping parks, and reviewing the literature at home and abroad related to shopping parks and the current situation of them, this dissertation introduces the objectives,significance, innovation points of this research and establishes its research methodology, so as to construct the framework of the whole dissertation.Secondly, this dissertation summarizes the relevant definitions of shopping park and introduces the reasons of its rise to further sum up the concepts of shopping park. After that,this dissertation analyzes the unique concept connotation of shopping park from several aspects, including experiential purchases, one stop shopping, enjoyable views and various cultural themes.Thirdly, the four spatial characteristics, space compound mode and design features of shopping park and the relationship between consumer psychology and spatial configuration are interpreted in detail. And the space design concept of shopping park is summed up eventually. Meanwhile, the diversity theme planning, experience spatial planning and the integration of interactive elements these three design strategy are put forward.Fourthly, based on the typical cases at home and abroad Bluewater Shopping Centre,Shenzhen Coco Park, Zhangjiagang shopping Park, relative case analysis is going to be conducted, and morphological characteristics of commercial space of Beijing blue Harbor shopping is listed in the key analysis, echoing the design concepts and design strategies in previous study.Lastly, it makes analysis and discussion on possible development trends of space formof shopping park in the future in terms of spatial characteristics, spatial layout, spatial place building, etc.
