Business stores are a great part in city building designing, which have become a typical building type. With the social and economic development and the accelerating urbanization, as well as housing demolition and the emerging removable stores, new buildings should be developed to meet the requirement in terms of removability of temporary stores and environmental protection. With the development of container-type buildings, the low carbon container-type buildings have emerged as a wholly new building type, and become a new development direction for buildings. Container-type buildings have gradually become the preferred form of temporary stores thanks to their standardized, series and scaled production, as well as great flexibility, good environmental protection features, excellent economics and high mobility.This thesis will introduce the features and performance of the container-type buildings in details and explore their potential in terms of temporary stores. The designing principles of such buildings are studies in depth to analyze the difficulties and limitations in designing and construction. A series solutions are proposed in terms of energy-saving technologies, space structure, human engineering and material analysis so as to resolve the conflicts between the comfort and applicability and the compact structure. Indoor partition structure is analyzed with the space of individual store as instance so as to explore the reasonability of such buildings used as temporary stores.The thesis is composed of six chapters. In Chapter 1, the background, purpose, significance and research methods of the topic are introduced. In Chapter 2, the structure features and applicable fields of the container-type buildings are analyzed, including the basic structures, features and applicable fields of container-type buildings. In Chapter 3, the energy-saving technologies and materials that are used in the low-carbon container-type buildings are analyzed. Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 are key parts of the thesis, in which the important issues are analyzed. In Chapter 4, the space combinations of container-type stores are researched, the multiple space combinations of container-type buildings are analyzed according to different purposes, and the individual combination space of container-type stores are analyzed according to the utilization features of the stores. In Chapter 5, under the guidance of human engineering and based on the human static and dynamic dimensions as basic data, the utilization space of individual container is analyzed, which is used as the designing basis of individual indoor space to analyze the indoor functional layout. In Chapter 6, the issues that may be encountered in the container-type stores are introduced, the possible solutions are recommended and the development direction and prospect of the container-type stores are introduced. In this thesis, the applicability of the container-type low carbon buildings in temporary stores is researched in hope to help the domestic manufacturers and markets of the temporary stores.
