The Research On The Development Trend And Demand Of Railway Container Type

As China's economy entered a new norm and the construction of The Belt and Road Initiatives,Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Integration,Yangtze River economic zone strategy,there is a need to accelerate the inter-regional interoperability,enhance the level of multimodal transport,and significantly reduce logistics costs.Railway container transportation has the dual advantages of railway transportation and container transportation,and it is an important part of modern logistics and multimodal transportation.With the construction of the medium and longterm railway network plan and the large-scale construction of high-speed railway,railway transportation capacity will gradually release.And after the reformation,China Railway attached great importance to container transport.Railway container transportation gets a rare opportunity of rapid development.According to the development planning of railway container multimodal transport in 13 th Five-Year and the program to create a favorable market environment and promote the integration of traffic and logistics of National Development and Reform Commission,China's railway container volume in 2020 is expected to reach two to three times the volume in 2016,which means that China Railway will invest heavily in containers,container vehicles,stations and loading and unloading facilities.As the current railway container holdings will be difficult to meet the needs of high-speed development,the study of development trend and demand of railway container is conducive to seize the rare development opportunities,and to build an integrated multimodal logistics system.The development of ISO container standard and its limitations were analyzed,and the development of inland-container in North America and Europe were introduced firstly,leading to the conclution that container was getting to a tendency of greater size and larger volume.Based on the specifications of diffirent types of containers of China Railway,a formula was developed to choose the best container type for a given category of goods,to make the lowerst transportation cost per ton.Conversely,the most suitable categories of goods for each type of container were analyzed.With regression analysis and gray prediction method,the railwaycontainer freight volume of 26 categories of goods was predicted for 2017-2020 years respectively.Lastly,the purchase suggestion of each type of railway container for 2017-2020 years are given.
