Visually impaired school is one of the main forms of special education schools in China today, playing an exemplary role for the other special education institution building; it is not only an important window for special education development level, but also is the symbol of the development of the degree of civilization of a region.The theory attempts to benefit from visually impaired children communication on campus in the research angle, external communication space design of the school. Through the research on the field research and literature on the visually impaired school, on a variety of visually impaired children communicative action, communicative activity analysis in the campus. On this basis, combined with domestic and foreign visually impaired school building examples comparison research, design to detailed design from the planning layout, space structure, and gradually in-depth analysis and discussion of the visually impaired school external communication space design method and strategy, hope the plan provides the beneficial reference for the visually impaired school external communication space design.In the situation of vigorously developing the education for the disabled in our country, we research the actuality of the construction for visually impaired school and successful cases of domestic and comprising cases of other countries’. So we put forward feasible strategies of the external communication space design.And it has practical significance.
