It has been more than 60 years since Chengdu-Chongqing railway, which was the first railway opened on July 1,1952. With the economic development, Safety, comfort, energy saving have been more and more concerned besides promotion of speed. Due to the complicated feature of cables, it affects operational safety and performance of rail transportation. So it is time to improve the efficient use of the cable. At the same time, real-time detection technology of the cable using state has become important problem. Study and Realization of real-time detection technology of the cable using state has lay a solid foundation of the safety of rail transportation. In order to solve these problems, we use the distributed fiber temperature sensor measurement system on Raman scattering theory to diagnosis the using state of cables. With detailed study of the present situation of the distributed optical fiber temperature measurement system development, we make a summary and conclusion. According to environmental parameters, we design a distributed optical fiber temperature measurement system. The system realized temperature monitoring real-time online. Finally, we simulate vehicular environment and do experiments. Through the test conclusion, the system meets the design requirements and put forward the improvement.
