In recent years, it is imperative to construct and study botanical gardens, as there are a gradually worse and worse damage to the global ecosystem brought by the industrial economic development, and an increasingly louder and louder voice to protect biodiversity and save rare and endangered plants. As an important component of botanical gardens, systematic gardens are research and experiment places, sites to collect wild germ plasm resources and protect biodiversity, as well as authoritative and professional platforms to promote science popularization education among the public.Firstly, the thesis sorts out the content and development of botanical gardens and systematic gardens, then summarizes the characteristics and categories of systematic gardens. Secondly, based on study on domestic and overseas systematic gardens, the thesis defines basic steps of systematic gardens planning: first, determine an appropriate planning direction and a taxonomy system; second, collect germ plasm resources according to the overall planning, select a scientific location, decide the scale of exhibition and plan the spatial structure accordingly; third, match plants in accordance with plant characteristics, ensuring the systematic garden is scientific and aesthetic.Finally, With real examples, Jinzhong systematic garden, the thesis reflects on the planning and construction of systematic gardens in China, so as to put forward suggestions for its better development.
