As an important link in aircraft manufacturing, the assembly process is complex, and the quality of aircraft assembly depends on whether the process design is reasonable or not.At present, domestic aircraft assembly process planning is still mainly using the transfer mode that combines digital and analog, and process documents are mainly conducted in the traditional 2D method. Process information is not intuitive, and the process change is tedious. Therefore, in the light of the enterprises urgently need to expand research on 3D visual assembly process, the MBD(Model Based Definition) technology was introduced,and the 3D visual assembly process design technology of aircraft products was researched in DELMIA. The main research is as follows:Firstly, through analyzing the content and process of aircraft assembly process design,the assembly process information was divided into three categories: product, process and resource. The product-process-resource model was established using MBD technology, to describe the detailed content and inner relation among product structure, process design and resources. Secondly, taking DELMIA as the platform, the template of product,process and resource was customized, the assembly process planning structure tree was established, and the 3D visual assembly process design process was confirmed. Thirdly,the assembly simulation process of navigation aircraft product in 3D visualization environment was established, the simulation of assembly sequence, assembly path and ergonomics was realized, and the reasonable methods to verify product design, tooling design and assembly process planning were given.At last, taking the assembly process design of a certain kind of frame module as an example, an assembly process planning model was established, the assembly process planning and simulation in 3D visualization environment was realized. It showed that,using the methods and technology above to complete the process design work can be faster and more intuitive, and meet the needs of enterprises.
