At present, with the rapid development of economy and modern industry. Large cranes in industrial and mining enterprises is great in need such as construction, bridges, ports, industrial production.But With large cranes in carrying cargo weight by leaps and bounds, safety accidents are on the increase. Due to the traditional crane only equipped with the hoisting limiter and torque limiter to insure work safety, coupled with the Improper operation and super load work for a long time makes the large cranes damaged causing huge economic losses and casualties. Checking the Large cranes is often by people at times, lacking of professional security monitoring of high precision instruments and we cannot understand the working state of the crane in real time, so our efficiency is very low.This paper is supported by large cranes On-line monitoring system. With the help of my mentor teacher,using optical, mechanical design, image processing, wireless transmission technology, developing a set of practical, simple operation, good real-time, high reliability, we called Large cranes relative boom bending on-line test system. So that we can check the deflection of large cranes boom in real time and reduce the accident happened.This paper mainly intrduced from the following several aspects:1. Intrducing the large crane online monitoring technology and development at home and abroad. Explain The purpose of the subject and the significance and put forward the Laser detection strategy for boom deflection.2. Compared with The existing large crane monitoring technology, analysed the risk in the process of the work. Combining the design of the crane structure characteristics and the actual demand. Proposed a scheme using Optical principle and combined with a variety of disciplines monitoring technology solutions. Analyzed the feasibility of the scheme and to solve the key points. Put forward a complete set of schemne in large cranes relative boom bending on-line test system.3. Research and design of hardware modules of the system. In accordance with the working conditions of crane and the design of general requirements for the concrete scheme of mechanical hardware. The selection of the design of the parts and standard parts has been clear about the functions and features. It includes the industrial camera lens design, calculation, drawing, processing, the design and processing of fixed base, industrial computer and choosing use of various kinds of lenses4. According to the working environment of the system and to achieve the performance requirements, write a set of applications which is conformed to the large cranes relative boom bending on-line test system. It includes Image acquisition, image processing, data computing, and wireless communication, etc.5. After many test and commissioning, we can realize real-time detection of lateral deflection of crane booms and transmit data to the display in real time.6. The paper also summarizes some shortages existing in the system at the same time, and puts forward the corresponding method and way to improve and enhance the system’s technology.The results of field test show that the deflection of boom of measurement data is consistent with the theory of laboratory data. In the range of error allowed, have high precision. And the system of convenient operation, high reliability, strong real-time performance, can greatly improve the safety factor of the crane, have a good practical prospect.
