The live firing training in the field is a regular forces training course. Information construction and networked construction of the shooting range is the effective way to improve efficiency and quality of training. Actually, the modernization and networked construction of outdoor shooting ranges lags behind the requirements of training. The existing equipment control system is used for single course training. The control range of the existing system is small, and its universality is poor. Therefore, the existing system is difficult to ensure the efficiency of training.The rapid development of information technology and network technology creates favorable conditions for the update of shooting ranges’constructing mode. The traditional control system has many shortages, such as control distance, categories and quantity of equipments, system interface. To cover shortages of the traditional control system, and realize the networked and remote control, this thesis designs an equipment control system for the outdoors shooting range, which is built on the technology of network communication and modern measurement and control. The system is based on ZigBee technology and high speed Ethernet, integrates resources of the shooting range, and promotes the shooting range’s construction of information and network.Firstly, the thesis describes the overall design of the system, including the logical architecture and the physical architecture. Then, it analyzes the requirements of system and the key technologies used in system’s network, including ZigBee technology, high speed Ethernet and Serial-Ethernet server. According to the physical architecture of the system, the thesis analyzes all types of data frames in the system, and formulates the communication protocol for the system. The communication protocol set standards for the exchanges of data, and it is helpful to extend the system’s functionality.The principal part of thesis introduces the design of heavy-weapons target and PC-side software. The target of heavy weapons is an embedded control system, which is based on the STM32 microcontroller. It uses the acceleration sensor to detect the score of the heavy-weapons targets. The target can receive and analyze instructions sent from the command center in real time. Then, it returns valid data to the command center automatically. The software that running on PC is the core of system, and it is based on WinForm. The PC-side software can control targets remotely, uses the SQLServer database to store data, and display targets’ statuses and grades in real time. The system offers a variety of modes, is based on the Client/Server construction, and can be run on multiple PCs to meet the different needs of training.At last, the thesis discusses the test of system’s functions, including integrated management of layouts, remote control of targets, automatic target-scoring, score inquiry and real time monitoring in multiple PCs. The results show that the system is flexible and stable.
