With the rapid development of China economy, the long-span spatial steel truss is widely applied in various types of sports squares, train stations, large shopping malls and other buildings and structures. Moreover, as continuous development and innovation in forms of structure, that has made the development of China’s space structure enter a new stage. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to carry out research on construction of long span space truss. According to the characteristics of the actual project structure and environmental conditions, the installation construction technology of large-span steel structure suit one’s measures to local conditions to choose reasonable construction, is the key to the smooth implementation. Analysis of stress and strain in large span space truss in the process of installation and construction, is the guarantee of the construction safety. The reasonable construction technology and construction monitoring program, related to the construction safety, construction schedule, construction cost control. Therefore, to carry out the following research work:The construction project belongs to the Comprehensive Stadium and Swimming Pool Stadium of Lianjiang County Sports Park which will work as a venue in the first National Youth Games:(1) By analyzing and summarizing the current steel truss hoisting construction methods, its advantages and disadvantages, applicable conditions, then considering the structure characteristics of terrain, venues, construction period requirement, and so on, comprehensively. Under the circumstances, hoisting construction methods were determined. According to the selection basis and principles of hoisting machinery, the reasonable ones had been chosen to ensure the rationality of construction scheme.(2) According to the construction programme which had been set, the research on safety of lifting section and falsework was launched. By using the Midas software to establish the finite element models of lifting sections, falsework, analyzing the finite element established, and studying whether its stress, deformation meeting the requirements specification.(3) Based on the characteristics of the project construction scheme, etc. The article has established the reasonable steel truss stage hoisting process and construction monitoring project.Large span roof truss space type comprehensive museum Lianjiang County Sports Park Swimming pool has been completed more than 1 years, the main project has been completed and acceptance, and in line with the basic conditions of creating excellent project. The engineering practice shows that:the construction of the project in line with the characteristics of the structure, to ensure the quality and quantity to complete the project on time.
