| Quadrilateral angle iron tower is the most common and the most widely used structure of communication towers. In recent years, the rapidly development of technology about computer aided design software, made it become an inevitable trend that research on computer aided design about communication towers. But, the subsistent computer aided design software about quadrilateral angle iron towers always are lack of efficiency. They need the designer build the model, add the load and calculate the rods all by hand, then analysis and verification. Because of the complex of steel communication towers, the operation always is very trouble and slow, the number of rods in a communication tower maybe hundreds even over one thousand, that means a heavy workload and possibility of making wrong. The analysis on calculation data in downstream process may be very difficult. Recently, there is no professional software about angle iron communication tower in the market.In this paper, a new 3D visualization system of quadrilateral angle steel communication tower was studied, which use Visual C++6.0, based on MFC single document application framework and OpenGL, horizontal wind load and seismic load counted by the equivalent load method, calculation by creating a ANSYS process. The example shows that the system is feasible, provides a new design method for quadrilateral steel communication tower, and improves the visibility of communication tower design software. The results of the research have reference significance in the design of quadrilateral angle steel communication tower.The system includes three modules:structural scheme design, structural load calculation, structural model show, and completes the primary scheme, rods selected, load calculation, ANSYS analysis and verification in post-processing, and draws 2D diagram and 3D model in OpenGL3d.Examples showed that the interface of the system is friendly and convenient operation. The research on the system has the reference significance in practical engineering design. The main advantages and features of the system are as follows:(1) Automatic modeling procedure in OpenGL3D and ANSYS of common abdominal rod type of arbitrary height and layer number of quadrilateral angle steel tower is achieved by diagonal tower node and bar with consecutive numbers were analyzed and calculated. In the program structure load calculation module in the nodes of the component and calculation, weight calculation, calculation of wind load, seismic load calculation and structure effect display module in the graphics generation, greatly reducing the length of the code, and to ensure the safety and reliability of the data, in the calculation data extraction is also very convenient.(2) The system achieved a perfect combination of MFC, OpenGL and ANSYS and made them their best, completed the scheme design, calculation and verification, visual simulation of quadrilateral angle iron tower. The program didn’t only get the convenience of the MFC programming, OpenGL graphics display realistic and efficient, but also give a full play to the structure of the ANSYS finite element analysis of the efficient calculation.(3) When the tower height is low and basic wind pressure value is not high, the intelligent design scheme generated by the system of angle steel tower, by verifying, meet the constraint condition of the stiffness and strength conditions, intelligent design scheme meet the requirements. |
