With the earthquake is increasing, the increasing demand for earthquake disaster mitigation.It is a more practical means to reducing the damage of earthquake on the subject of structural with an additional structure whether new construction or existing buildings. These subsidiary structure including friction dampers, viscous dampers, viscoelastic dampers and metal dampers,well, the metal dampers are widely used because of its characteristics of effective, safe, reliable,simple and economical. The paper designed three new mild steel dampers base on current research for metallic Dampers, which are the new T-shaped, box-type, S-type mild steel dampers. The paper made ??the following research for these three mild steel dampers:(1) Simulating for the above-mentioned dampers by ABAQUS, and punching on the webs of the new T-type and box type mild steel dampers, the openings form including bar, oval and diamond. Analysing the force in-plane to the new T- mild steel dampers base on the web Openings’ limb width and height; Studying the force in-plane and out-plane stability to the new box- mild steel dampers base on the angular size between Web and vertical; Finite element simulation for S-type mild steel dampers base on the thickness and width of flange plate;Studying the forces of steel frames with T-type, box type, S-type, T-S combination, box-S Combination dampers. The results shows: three mild steel dampers member have good energy performance and full hysteresis curves, on the other, five kinds of steel frame with dampers have better energy performance, which the steel frame with box-S is the best one.(2) Studying the steel frame with box-S damper in time-history analysis and dynamic response spectrum analysis under a given seismic waves by SAP2000. The simulation results:Joint Displacement, node acceleration, velocity nodes, internal force and other factors of a steel frame with mild steel dampers is better than the pure frameworks. So the performance is excellent, damping effect is obvious.
