In order to reduce the social loss caused by earthquake disaster,people have designed various energy dissipation dampers.Dampers are widely used in buildings and Bridges due to their convenient installation.clearance viscous damper and shear panel damper are two kinds of dampers which are widely used in passive control.Although they have different structures,they can both play a good role in energy consumption.We’ve done a lot of theoretical research on these dampers,but there’s a lot of work to be done about the structural parameters.In this paper,the influence of structural parameters of two dampers on energy dissipation is studied by means of experiment and simulation.The research content of this paper is as follows:(1)This paper conducts experiments on clearance viscous dampers with different parameters,summarizes the influence of piston length and clearance width of viscous dampers on the performance of dampers,and designs a design calculator of viscous dampers by combining empirical formulas,so as to shorten the design period of dampers and improve production efficiency.(2)Combining the structure and energy dissipation principle of the shear panel dampers,and deducing the force calculation formula of the shear panel dampers theoretically.(3)In this paper,the material is subjected to monotonic tensile test by means of a tensile testing machine,and some mechanical properties of the steel are determined;In addition,the scale model of the shear panel dampers was tested to observe the deformation process of the damper,and the energy dissipation performance was analyzed through hysteresis curves and skeleton curve.The hysteresis curves of viscous dampers and shear panel dampers are compared by experiments.(4)This paper uses ABAQUS finite element simulation to establish a reasonable finite element model,conducts buckling mode and static analysis on the shear metal damper,simulates the performance test of the scale model,and makes a comparative analysis between the simulation results with the test to verify the feasibility of finite element simulation.(5)Explore the influence of stiffeners and flanges on the energy dissipation of shear panel dampers through finite element analysis,analyze the stiffeners and flanges in various layout forms,and determine the most reasonable layout plan of stiffeners and flanges which improve 50% about maximum horizontal force.
