| Diversity of operation types and the trend of people increasingly enjoying consumption have led to a brand new creation of casual business gatheringcommercial complex. With the rapid development of commercial complex, how to create a diversified architectural space,according to the characters of terrain,in order to improve the quality of the commercial space has become an important issue. Double first floor spacial pattern, as the design technique of processing elevation difference area of commercial complex, is being used in commercial complex construction more and more often. To achieve two(or more) the ground floor effects, this pattern sets multiple entries on different base levels to organize pedestrian flow lines, using the ways of building units, improving the plinth, and off layer. The number of commercial complex in Changsha increases with years, and the natural terrain feature of plains transition to hills has provided conditions for the design of double first floor spacial pattern.Firstly, the thesis briefly introduces the research background, purpose, contents and methods, elaborates research scope and object, analyses the application status of double first floor commercial complex at home and abroad, and summarizes application cases of double first floor commercial complex in Changsha. Secondly, the thesis discusses the related concepts, trends and evolution of double first floor commercial complex pattern. The thesis summarizes evaluation standards of this pattern and analyses its adaptability. Then, from three perspectives of outer space organization, inner space organization as well as multi-level landscape design, the thesis analyzes and summarizes the specific design method of double first floor commercial complex.
