Research Based on the background of the Ages, to explore and discuss the designing of internal space in large commercial center. The factors of the internal space in large commercial center designing is divided in two parts that called intrinsic order and external expression, pointed out that the adaptation of the information age is not only to adapt to the external expression of the information, but to adapt the the internal order, like society, economy, culture, technology development, people’s life style and thinking mode in this era. And the internal order seems in deeper level and control a variety of external expression.This paper is divided into three parts with five chapters to discuss in depth.At first, the research discusses the definition and the essence of large commercial center, interpretes its diachronic development process, summarizes the intrinsic order and external expression in inner space of large commercial center construction, the internal order is maintianed. by adaptive principle and build order,the external expression can be shown from the point of view of function, form,technology etc.. With this, the intrinsic order and external expression is established under each specific era background.Then taking Shanghai as an example, through the investigation of the building,compared the relationship of internal space between the traditional commercial center(especially which was built a number of department stores or malls in the city in 1980 s, 1990s) to the emerging commercial center, seek the adaptability to the information age in the internal space of the new commercial center from the scope of the internal order and the external expression.The last part based on the above analysis, in this way, its adaptability of the information age and the design is divided into two parts: the direct expression of the technique and the indirect internal order demands in the era. Then analysis the adaptability of the interior space of large commercial center at imformation age.
