The shopping center as a commercial aggregation with a variety of retail stores and service facilities,provides consumers with comprehensive services ang reflects a city’s level of civilization and economic development.No matter from the aspect of city,shop-ping center or consumers,high-quality external open space of shopping center is of gr-eat significance for enriching the structure of urban public space,satisfying residents’ rich demands for daily life,facilitating the differentiated competition of shopping center,and satisfying consumers’ spiritual needs of returning to nature.Building a high-quality external open space environment is not only the demand of the shopping center itself,but also the internal requirement for the continuous improvement of urban functions.With the integrated use of field research method,literature research,induction summary,chart analysis and other research methods,this paper explore the shopping center open external space design about the space design,public facilities design and cli-mate adaptability design,so as to play a useful reference guide in the future shopping center open external space design.The first chapter of this paper mainly describes the research background,purpose,significance,and the research methods of the subject,the definition of the research scope In addition to this,it includes domestic and foreign research on external space,urban public space,commercial buildings or shopping center external space.On this basis,the research framework of this paper is sorted out.The second chapter elaborates the functions and development trend of shopping center’s external open space,and summarizes and analyzes its three main existing problems based on the results of field re-search,so as to provide theoretical basis for proposing the design strategy of the following three core chapters.The third chapter puts forward the design strategy aiming at the external open space construction from six aspects: space layout,space form,the deepening shaping of spatial level,the transition with urban public space and interior sp-ace,functional business planning and traffic flow design.The fourth chapter divides the public facilities of shopping center external open space into the types of rest facilities,lighting facilities,sign facilities,advertising facilities,amusement facilities,and puts forward the design strategies,such as the layout of facilities,design technical points,shape design,etc.In fifth chapter,through the analysis and research on the characteristics of subtropical climate and its influence on the external open space of shopping center,the climate adaptive design strategy is proposed from four aspects of improving ventilation,shading design,passive evaporative cooling strategy application,material selection and technical measures application.The sixth chapter is the summary of this paper and the outlook of shopping center external open space research. |
