Internal combustion engine as the main power plant in modern society, has been widely applied to various transportation fields. But with the development of society, the era requests internal combustion engine to improve itself continuously, that is more power, lower fuel consumption and emissions. Therefore, it is necessary to work more in-depth analysis of the process, thereby to improve the performance of diesel engines to meet the stringent requirements of this approximation. The actual work of the diesel engine is complex, traditional design methods commonly using empirical formula is difficult to ensure accuracy. Fortunately the advent of the computer simulation software for internal combustion engine designing has brought great convenience, both to ensure the accuracy and shorten the development period. This paper uses the one-dimensional computer software to simulate the process of internal combustion engine. The main work is as follows:1, set numerical mathematical model for the diesel with zero-dimensional combustion model2,establish the simulation model with GT-POWER and get the operating parameters. Then compare it with experimental values and calibrate the model. Analyze the Variation of the parameters like volumetric efficiency in the speed curve and load curve.3,change the value of design parameters including injection advance angle, compression ratio, the length of intake pipe. Compare the impact to the diesel performance by different set point. The pick up the Optimal value for the diesel. Provide effective reference and basis for the design of the diesel engine by doing above things.4,Simulate the intercooler outlet temperature with the model and analyze the diesel performance for different temperature value, using MATLAB software gets the iterative solution of empirical formula. Chose the type of turbocharger by the solution. Match the diesel and turbocharger and optimize the combining operation line. Analyze the impact to the engine by different compression systems which are Pulse turbocharger and constant pressure turbocharger5,Apply the PID technology to control the pressure ratio by controlling the exhaust gas below turbo accurately. Analyze the impact by different pressure of exhaust gas. Adjust the parameter of PID to get Ideal response curve.
