Working process of diesel engine refers to airflow, turbocharger, fuel injection, combustion, heat transfer and chemical reaction dynamics etc. Hence, Working process of ? diesel engine influences dynamic performance, fuel economy performance, burning noise and emission formation etc, moreover directly influences reliability and durability of diesel engine. In research of working process of diesel engine, some parameters can also be measured by instrument; however, it is due to the complicated construction of diesel engine that the related details cannot be obtained. In comparison with test that studying working process problems by applying numerical simulation can not only greatly decrease research cost, save labor and material resource, shorten development period, but also get some data which is unmeasured by experiment. Considering the importance of working process of diesel engine and the advantage of numerical simulation, working process of diesel engine is simulated in this paper.Precise describe of geometry structure is an important premise to realize numerical simulation, but the diesel model refers to intake system, exhaust system, turbocharger system, fuel injection set, cylinder and crank case etc, which have complex structure, therefore, if the geometry model is established as true structure, it will spend a great lot of time and it is unrealizable and unnecessary. According to computation experience, and on the premise of guaranteeing computing precision, the entity structure is simplified. The intake and exhaust pipes are simplified into one-dimensional model, which not only can guarantee computing precision, but also can save a great lot of time. In addition, in-cylinder working process is also simplified, combustion model is quasidimensional model, though the simplification space variable orderliness as time can not be shown, the performance parameters variable orderliness as time can be obtained, and the precision of computing results is enough for study.Numerical simulation of 6106 diesel engine working process is performed by large universal internal combustion engine working process numerical simulation software GT-Power in this paper. It includes the following aspects: 1, when intake and exhaust system is studied, the influence of their pipe's diameter and length on performance is analyzed; 2, when valve timing system is studied, the influence of intake close, exhaust open and valve overlap on performance is analyzed; 3, when fuel system is studied, the influence of fuel injection angle, opening pressure of fuel injection and nozzle diameter and number on performance is analyzed; 4, when compression ratio is studied, the influence of compression ratio on performance and emission is analyzed; 5, when combustion chamber wall temperature is studied, the influence of combustion chamber wall temperature and it's fluctuation on performance of diesel engine is analyzed. The analysis of the simulation results can provide important theoretic guidance for improvement and optimal designs of diesel engines. All in all, by numerical simulation of working process, the engine type, construction and performance parameters of diesel would be optimized and the design method and theory research would enter into another new stage.
