The Dimension Analysis And Synthesis Theory/software/VP Of Cam Mechanisms With Negative Radius Translating Follower

The study focus on a cam mechanism with negative radius translating follower. Since the cam and follower has a internal contact, it would significantly increase the integrative radius of curvature and decrease the surface contact stresses, so that the contact strength, bearing capacity and working life has a more significantly improvement than the traditional cam mechanism. Therefore, making a research and exploration of this cam mechanism and completing a set of corresponding and effective system of comprehensive analysis theory and method has a great significance not only in its theoretical value, but also in the prospect of engineering application.All the following researches are achieved by P type cam mechanism.(1)Four evaluating indicator and constraint conditions, namely motion connectivity condition, transmission performance condition, motion fidelity condition and contract strength condition, were presented, laying a theoretical foundation for dimension analysis and synthesis of this mechanism.(2)Based on the constraint conditions, getting the solution space of cam mechanism by visualization projection method with three basic dimension coordinate system O-Rr0e--roller radius R, base circle radius r0, offset e, and then giving an optimal design of this cam mechanism and achieving a compact mechanism meeting the constraint conditions.(3) Developed visualization software based on the dimension analysis and synthesis theory.Based on the software system, an example was given.(4) Based on the analysis and synthesis theory and the software system, a virtual prototype was establish to simulate and verify the correctness and validity of the theory and software systemThrough the dimension analysis and synthesis theory, software and virtual prototype of the cam mechanisms with negative radius translating follower,the complex and mutual relationship among these basic dimensions of mechanism was found, and a useful and systematic analysis and synthesis method for the objects mechanism was obtained, which have important impact for the application of the mechanism.
