Reduce or remove deposited dust on the glass surface of PV modules, PV modules to keep the surface clean is necessary work.In this paper, preliminary studies of new energy technologies and photovoltaic devices, Chongqing University of Technology Institute of Applied based on the results of the original single-piece removal device prototype PV modules to optimize and improve the design, manufacture and verified to have two for a PV module automatic dust removal device composed of the PV array.First, the PV module glass surface dust sources, analyze the reasons for adsorption studies to determine the way to remove dust. The photovoltaic module installation and removal requirements aim to determine the design of the overall program. Dust in the original prototype device basis, through SolidWorksmotion simulation, designed a spiral brush cleared by PV glass surface dust mechanical device.Bristle brush and dust removal device to determine the PV module glass surface by an appropriate amount of contact with the experimental method, by studying the structure to determine the brush, roller type, institutional parameters and bristle materials. According to the dust removal operation and control requirements, design the automatic control section, test section, part of the remote control, through a comparative analysis, the final choice of microcontroller as the automatic controller, while the microcontroller, sensors and other electrical components were selection.Finally, to verify the effect of dust removal device through experiments, data analysis showed that this effect is remarkable prototype clean up the dust, stable, has good practical value.
