With the rapid development of cities, urban rail transit plays a more and more important role in people’s daily life. In order to relieve the pressure on urban traffic, subway and other means of urban railway transportation are building vigorously across many cities. Subway signal system is an automatic control system that takes charge of the safe operation of subway. It can not only ensure the safety of the passengers but also provide them a more comfortable travel conditions. Subway signal system plays a very important role in train operation, it has to go through a lot of repeated testing before used in practice. It will consume a large amount of social resources if each test could only be done in field. With the vigorously development of the subway at the same time, the increasing demand for subway drivers gives the subway operating company a lot of driver training work. If the training of the drivers also could only be done in field, it will cost a lot of social resources too. So the subway operation simulation becomes increasingly important.In order to develop subway train operation simulation system, we must firstly carry out field survey. The 3D model material of the subway train operation simulation system is got through the field investigation of Chengdu metro line 1 and we can use the material to build the 3D scene model, such as train, station, tunnel, signal and so on. Secondly the visual simulation tools is used to drive the 3D model and the driving technology is used to achieve manual operation of bridge to realize manned function of train.In the thesis, the simulation object is the line scene of Chengdu metro line 1.The visualization model of train running line scene is built with visual simulation modeling software Multigen Creator. And after in-depth study of the software, further optimization of the model is did. Also the key technology of modeling is put forward in the thesis.The thesis also puts forward the key technology of visual drive and drives the 3D model of train running scene by the real time visual driver software Multigen Vega to realize the rendering of the 3D scene of the train operation simulation system. Graphical user interface environment LynX of Vega is used for quick customize of 3D scene and VegaAPI function interface is used to realize the real-time interactive function of train simulation system in platform VC++6.0. After all of this, the manned function of train is realized.The thesis finally built and optimized the model of the train operation simulation system. At the same time, it realized manned function of train through real-time three dimension visual simulation software Vega and platform VC++6.0. At the same time it is also being applied to connect to the ATS of laboratory and control train operation by ATS, so as to achieve the result of simulation. After future improvement it can also be applied to train driver and test signal system in the future to play its important role.
