With the increasing of asphalt concrete road service hours in our country, more and more road come into the large and medium repairmen period, and maintenance, repairmen increasing, a lot of waste milling materials need to be properly dealt with, many varieties of the regeneration technology get in application, new technology and scientific research is also comes up and be applied. The emulsified asphalt cold recycling technology is researched and applied constantly in our country. Emulsified asphalt recycled mixture has the old pavement materials,and added new material either, mingling of old and new material result to which has the new performance characteristics. Among kinds of performances, water stability of pavement materials is especially concerned in engineering, and it has many influence factors, the complex relationship between the factors.In this paper the asphalt concrete pavement distress types and the reason mechanism both related to water damage are discussed, concisely elaborating the status study of domestic and foreign scholars on the cold recycling emulsified asphalt mixture. Focus on the technical characteristics of plant producing cold recycling emulsified asphalt, introduce the advantages and disadvantages and conventional scope of use of cold recycling emulsified asphalt mixture technology. Expound its pavement performance and the strength formation mechanism, analyze the bond peeling principle between aggregate and asphalt emulsion, and propose the main factors of plant mix cold recycling emulsified asphalt related with water stability. By using the method of orthogonal experiment to reduce the number of experiments, explore the significance value of the main factors related to the water stability of mixture of emulsified asphalt cold regeneration and whether there is significant interaction effect. Experiments having three factors and three levels, using L27(313) orthogonal table, according to L27(313) interactive table header is designed.The selected main influence factors are the amount of cement,the amount of asphalt emulsion, and the amount of water, divided by the amount of RAP. Combining the project relied on, considering the experiment method made by other related scholars, identify the change range of each factor, cement levels of 1%, 2%,3%,the water content of 3%,4%,5%, emulsified asphalt dosage of 2%, 3%, 4%. Take the ration of water splitting strength splitting strength and to estimate the plant mix cold recycling emulsified asphalt water stability, the ration of water Marshall stability to evaluate the ability of resisting water damage.Analyze the test results by using SPSS19 software, so as to define the significant level of interaction between the major factors, and further study the possible reasons, reveal then on linear relationship between the factors in dark. Offer a proposal for plant mixing emulsified asphalt cold recycling mixture design, expecting it having better performance in resisting to water damage.The final test results shows that the effects of the three factors to the emulsified asphalt cold recycling mixture water stability are all significant, and water with cement, cement and emulsified asphalt, get significant interaction, but the interaction of water with emulsified asphalt is not obvious.
