People have proposed higher demand for their living environment with theimprovement of their living standards. However, the traditional vehicles is restricted as aresult of the serious exhaust pollution and the excessive consumption of oil. People start tolook for clean energy vehicles. The air-powered car known as the "green" car emerges at this moment, which turns thepressure potential energy of compressed gas into the kinetic energy of the engine. Our research group have completed the whole machine modification for the aerodynamicengine preliminarily, but the engine didn’t run. This paper is developed on the basis of theprevious study and the mainly work is as follows:1、Find out the problem of the starting operation of the aerodynamic engine throughthe way of study it step by step. Make the engine start running successfully by changing theinertness of the flywheel larger and equipping fastening key at the crank shaft joint.2、The problems of the long way of the air source to the engine inlet port and theinsufficient intake pressure as a result of the thin air intake pipe have been resolved byadding the stabilized cavity in the front of the air intake solenoid valve.3、Real-time display of the rotate speed has been realized with the using of RS-232Cserial port communication.4、Sequential control of the inlet and exhaust and the conversion strategy for differentworking conditions have been realized by designing and debugging the software.5、The test on the bed has been conducted to explore the influence of the intakeadvance angle, the intake duration angle and the intake pressure on the running of theengine.
