Cultural Tradition In The Research Of University Campus Landscape Design Practice

Each university has its own history, culture and spirit. It is difficult to measure the traditional campus culture by quantization. In the process of designing the campus landscape,we should take into consideration the modern educational concept, the cultural background of the university and the geographic feature etc. In a sense, students are affected by the campus landscape, especially their mental health and the quality of education they get. In face of the rapid development of economic and improvement of people’s psychological demand, the standard of campus landscape has to be lifted to a new and higher level. The main problem for modern designers to solve is that how to make the campus environment more youthful, and to preserve the unique historical and cultural traditions at the same time.
