Power distribution cabinet, which is an electric equipment assembled by electroniccomponents, is used to distribute and control power. The demand of power load growsrapidly with the sustained growth of economy, so it is of great significance to develop thecabinet to meet the requirements like the convenience, flexibility and reliability of thepower terminal. As temperature has a huge impact on the normal work of the powerdistribution cabinet, and the law of10℃shows the rule about failure rate of thecomponents changing with the increasing temperature, which indicates that the reliability ofthe cabinet is affected by the rise in temperature and the heat dispersion. So thethree-dimensional temperature field simulation and thermal design for distribution cabinetshas great significance of improving the reliability.First, put forward the concept of power distribution cabinet’s temperature field afterintroducing the thermal reason of the cabinet, the influence of rising temperature towardsnormal work and the current state; analyze the application of three basic forms of heattransfer, three kinds of boundary conditions about the heat conduction, basic theory and thecontrol equations of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and the finite volume method.This thesis illustrates the three-dimensional temperature field simulation and thermalanalysis of MNS2.0based on software6SigmaET; Adopt the method of GB/T24276-2009offered to verify the simulation results; and put forward the corresponding optimizationmeasures based on three methods about the theory of heat transfer,. Finally draw aconclusion that the method used in the thermal design of distribution cabinet, can improvethe design efficiency and reduce test cost. This simulative economic and practicalcalculation method provides a powerful guarantee for the structure design, temperaturedesign and the temperature rise test of power distribution cabinet, and also has greatsignificance of the thermal design about other similar products in the future.
