As China’s urban scale expanding and people’s living standards improving, thedemand of water resources becoming greater, it has put forward higher requirements forthe safety problems of water supply pipeline. Because the pipeline corrosion, the interfaceclosed lax, related technical backwardness and other reasons, every year the amount ofChina’s urban water supply pipeline leakage is very alarming, it leads to a lot of water iswasted and causes major economic losses. Therefore, the in-depth study of the leakagesignal acquisition, processing and localization on the water supply pipeline has importantsignificance.This thesis comes from the National Natural Science Fund Project “Research onLeakage signal mechanism of water supply pipeline and Weak signal detection andprocessing”. In this paper, the background is the urban water supply pipeline leakdetection, study the main problems of water supply pipeline leakage feature signalextraction and localization. Choose the water supply pipe as the research object, to extractthe weak leakage signal from the medium noise as the starting point, in-depth research onthe spectrum and the propagation characteristics of the leakage signal extract from watersupply pipeline and set up the water supply pipeline leak monitoring system which isbased on virtual instrument. The main research work of this thesis including the followingaspects: described the research background,the significance and the status in domestic andabroad of the research on the leakage of water supply pipeline; introduced the pipelineleakage detection method;based on the analysis of reasons of the leakage of water supplypipeline, studied on generating mechanism and propagetion characteristics of leakageacoustic signal of pipeline leakage and given the Cross-correlation localization algorithmand LMS localization algorithm; analyzed the spectrum of the leakage acoustic signal,completed the design of hardware and software system based on virtual instrument, thehardware system mainly consisted of SR10sensor, PAI amplifier, PXI data acquisitioncard and computer, the software system is used to deal with the leak signal, includingwavelet denoising, time frequency analysis,correlation analysis and so on; make thehardware system, the software system and water supply piping system connecting and debugging, the test results show that the water pipe leak detection and positioning systemcan achieve the localization of the leakage, the positioning accuracy comply with thedesign requirements.This paper can obtain the pipeline leak location through the real-time monitoring ofwater supply pipeline, provided a reliable basis for evaluating the running status of thepipeline system and reducing the leakage rate pipeline leakage rate, and the running resultsof the system achieved the expected goal.
