As one of the important stabilizer of ship anti-rolling nearly, Anti-rolling tank is suitable for zero velocity or low speed ship anti-rolling mainly. According to the structural form anti-rolling tank mainly can be divided into u-shaped anti-rolling tank and tank type anti-rolling tank, and the u-shaped anti-rolling tank can be designed as a passive anti-rolling tank,active anti-rolling tank and controllable passive anti-rolling tank.Controllable passive anti-rolling tank can meet the damping performance under various speeds in some degree, The purpose of controlling the rolling control of the fluid in the cabin is achieved by controlling the water valve or air valve at the bottom of the cabin by the use of a small amount of energy.Thus it keeps the water in the tank in the upside of the ship, so as to avoid the larger wave amplitude phenomenon in cross rolling frequency of anharmonic. In this way it can change the inherent cycle of water tank.As one of the important equipment of the research and design of anti-rolling tank.Anti-rolling tank test bench can simulate the actual motion of ship sailing on the sea. By studying the motion and control of water tank, it can provide more reliable parameters for the practical control methods.This paper introduces the design of the whole structure of anti-rolling tank test bench and the selection of control system hardware, and also introduces the u-shaped water tank structure design principle and the design of the size in the test bench in detail. And then it analyzes and researches the rules of the u-shaped anti-rolling tank.In order to collect and analyze the data in the automatic control of water tank, and then realize the control of the water tank, the paper has carried on the demand analysis and function analysis with anti-rolling tank control principle. So a control system based on Siemens control module and communication protocol has been put forward. The scheme designs the system distributed based on S7-200module that is high performance and high reliability, so the system is divided into center controller and huma n-computer interaction module. Meanwhile, and adopts the water valve and valve control at the same time. Compared with the conventional control mode, it is more effective in controlling the output control feedback, so the water tank has a better anti sway effect in the practical application.Finally, the paper gives results after experimental bench test of the anti-rolling tank. The results show that the water tank and control theory has certain damping effect on the simulation of the wave, and this paper has the vital significance for the study on damping control theory and design of experimental bench.
