Abstract/Summary:
The error of the spiral bevel gears is extremely sensitive to the manufacture andthe installation error, and the adjustment of the machining depends on the experienceof the operator and the machining accuracy is low. The existing research on spiralbevel gear tooth surface modification, only adjust the cutter grinding, to reduce noise,improve the contact area, improve the stability of the tooth, but did not solve the toothto the line of problems caused by the unequal helix angle. Some scholars put forwardby other curve as the tooth profile curve of spiral bevel gear, and the logarithmicspiral line has the characteristics of helix angle is equal everywhere, to solve thepower transmission efficiency of different mesh point is the spiral bevel gear drive atthe helix angle are not equal, the low friction and wear problem is serious, thetransmission is not smooth, the meshing of a pair of meshing of logarithmic spiralbevel gear is more stable, lower noise, higher load capacity, longer service life.According to the development of CNC gear hobbing machine, the logarithmicspiral bevel gear hobbing processing is feasible.
