With the rapid development of economy, people’s living standards and quality oflife continues to increase, plus health continues to improve, the old man’s life ismuch longer than before, the world is facing an increasing population,form of aging isbecoming increasingly serious in China, so the old life quality,living environment andother issues are also increasingly prominent the endowment, residential design for theelderly life is happy or not plays a key role in. About the elderly living space andlivin environment demands more attention.This paper analyzed the change characteristics of the elderly physical and mentalstate, according to the characteristics of the questionnaire, and thefact that datainto space later in bedroom design. And then analyzed by some developedcountries pension modes, through the analysis of data and casesummary, to the elderlypopulation in the living space of the given data instance to support demand.In this paper, the design of residential space in the elderly population, mainlydiscusses from two parts. The first part explains the living space needs ofolder groups, mainly from the physical environment spatial organizationandspatial aspects are discussed. The second part is the indoor homefurnishingdesign of the elderly population, mainly carries on the elaboration fromtheinterior space, this includes the room with furniture and softdecorative useetc.. This paper also relates to other space design for theaged group living,humanized design bathrooms and kitchens will bring the beatall conveniences to users. The two part design the space in detail in detail, andalso puts forward new ideas to the design community. Finally, this paper gave anexample of interior design of China’s housing for the elderly, with a real case isdesigned to illustrate the design point of view, more convincing with facts...
