Large quantities of“Village with in city” not only brings obstacle to construction and management of city，but also affects the development and benefits of themselves，Since the late1990s, manycities take "village in city" transformation, as an important content of urbandevelopment plan, targeted to modify its development, and academia in this field ofresearch and explores more and more, But the study relates to the reconstruction ofvillage in the city under the conditions of site protection is still lack.In the area about190square kilometers of xi’an,where there are about187villagesin the city and20million population (excluding temporary population), and Yang Jiavillage is one of them. It belongs to the xi ’an YanTa district offices, located in east ofZhu Que street, south of chang ’an road, on both sides of planning Wei Ling street.Middlebury gate site that is located in the south of the village. With the rapiddevelopment of urbanization, as well as the importance of Middlebury gate siteprotection, Yang Jia village seriously restricting the urbanization process of xi ’an andmiddlebury gate site protection smoothly, to have a massive renovation in Yang Jiavillage has became a desperate realistic proposition.This paper, taking xi ’an Yang Jia village as ample, research the problem based onthe village reconstruction in the conditions of great site protection,and summarizes the experience.
