Due to the complex actions and control monitoring diversity in automatic equipment,there are so many problems in development and application period, such as Longdevelopment cycle, complicated debugging with control system etc. The simulation andmonitoring for solid model can improve mechanical structure and electrical control systemduring design phase. Then the research for virtual prototype simulation is particularlynecessary."Button cell production line" is the project which is researched by our teacher andenterprise. Sub-disk equipment is part of the whole line and belongs to the packageequipment. In this paper, we do a research on mechanical-electronic simulation based onsub-disk machine and argue to achieve the controlling and feedback between PLC systemand solid model.The mainly work in this paper includes mechanical structure and electric controlsystem design for the disk machine. Based on working demand, it should be done inmechanical that designing the structure, selection of key components and creating thevirtual model used SolidWorks. In electrical control system we complete the design andselection for PLC, I/O assignment and electrical schematic design etc.The research for joint simulation between mechanical and electrical control is basedon LabVIEW. With importing the assembly model in simulation project, it can be realizedthat mapping the motor axis and sensors in simulation environment. We can connect anyPLC to LabVIEW by OPC technology, completing the communication between LabVIEWand the programmer logic controller. At the same time, we can also write the singlefeedback in solid model to the controller, to achieve the running of control program.The simulation and monitoring on sub-disk equipment connect the assembly modeland PLC system based on SoftMotion platform, using a variety of motion control VIs toachieve the drive on virtual motion axis and feedback of sensors singles. PLC controls themovement execution to realize monitoring for solid model.
