Asphalt concrete pavement is widely used for its smooth surface, no seams, drivingcomfort, small vibration, low noise, wear-resisting, no dust to clean, short construction period,easy maintenance and repair,recycling and so on. Now asphalt concrete pavement withsemi-rigid base of this structure is widely used in Guangdong, With the steady growth oftraffic volume, the increase of axle load and heavy vehicle percentage, this kind of semi-rigidbase asphalt pavement have a lot of the early damage of different level. According to thesurvey found that pavement quality and life of any level, the main reason is lack of strength orintensity attenuation at the grass-roots level quickly.Practice has proved, especially in heavytraffic highway road, the existing semi-rigid material is not sufficient to meet therequirements of transport development, need to adopt new higher strength base material, inorder to ensure the use of quality pavement.Guangdong province belongs to high temperatureand rainy, the traffic volume and traffic axle load were bigger, early damage of asphaltpavement is relatively serious, the road workers are still facing a difficult task to how to solvethe problem of early diseases of asphalt pavement in our province.Asphalt pavement cracks and potholes, pumping mud, rutting damage, especially longsteep slope section of pavement rutting disease are frequently occurred under heavy traffic inGuangdong area, trying to adopt rigid base asphalt pavement structure of RCC, in order tosolve the Guangdong area overloading traffic under the action of the durability of thepavement.Based on the rolling of the durability of the concrete base asphalt pavement structure,and in the traditional sense of the RCC+AC composite pavement, and the old cementconcrete pavement overlay asphalt layer structure in such aspects as material characteristicand the stress distribution is relatively similar, but each has its features. Therefore, this studyin reference to the stress analysis of pavement structure, on the basis of the theory and method,according to the characteristics of the roller compacted concrete durability of asphaltpavement structure at the grass-roots level, the quality of roller compacted concrete baseconstruction difficulties and key control points for further research, so as to accumulateexperience and improve the construction quality of roller compacted concrete pavement base.
