Research On The Effects Of Guangzhou-zhuhai Intercity Rail On Highway Passenger Transport And Its Countermeasures

With the operation of Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity rail, the originaltransportation structure of Guangzhou-Zhuhai transport corridor has beenchanged greatly. Therefore, the passenger travel questionnaire survey wascarried out from the aspect of coordinated development and orderly competitionof the two kinds of transportation mode. The characteristics of passenger travelin Guangzhou-Zhuhai corridor was deeply analyzed, which helps to reveal thelaw of passenger travel mode choice, and lays the theoretical foundation forrelevant countermeasures of highway passenger transport enterprises copingwith the competition of Guangzhou-Zhuhai intercity rail.On the basis of the comparative analysis of reveal preference and statedpreference, the combined survey method was selected to investigate passengertravel mode choice behavior in Guangzhou-Zhuhai corridor. The supplycharacteristics of transport mode and the demand characteristics of passengertravel were analyzed, and the content of questionnaire was designed. Theinvestigation method of simple random sampling was used to determine thesample size, and then the implementation process of investigation was presented.The characteristics of passenger travel in Guangzhou-Zhuhai corridor wasanalyzed from the aspects of passenger personal attributes, passenger travelcharacteristics and passenger’s cognitive characteristics of transport mode. Onthe basis of the comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages ofdisaggregate method, the binary logit model was used to construct the prediction model of passenger share rate in Guangzhou-Zhuhai corridor.According to addition rule, the utility function was constructed in terms ofeconomy, comfort, safety, service quality, immediacy and convenience, and thedimensionless method was used to convert the value of variables into the sameinterval. By using constructed share rate model, the share rate of two kinds oftransport mode was predicted in2014, and the sensitivity analysis method wasused to explore the effects of countermeasures. The strategies were put forwardfrom micro-, median-, and macro-level.
