China’s national economy is booming, all kinds of high and new technology developrapidly and are applied in people’s lives, providing a great convenience and improving thepeople’s living standards. At the same time, improving the home environment become thefocus of attention, thus greatly promoted the development of smart home.The smart home networking have wired, wireless and mixed three connection ways.The traditional wired connection wiring complicated and poor scalability, so wirelessconnection becomes the best choice for smart home networking. ZigBee is widely usedbecause of it’s low cost, flexible networking, low power consumption and strong extendability. With coverage of GSM network is more and more widely, and the utilization rate ofuser is increased year by year. If the technology is applied to the smart home system, theuser of smart home to communicate with the smart home system by using phone, and it willremote monitoring the our home.Thesis elaborated the basic principles of smart home system, this design use theCC2430as a microprocessor of ZigBee networking module, and use TC35i to send andreceive short message. The system include two parts: ZigBee network and the wirelesscommunication. The wireless communication is used to implement the remote contorl ofintelligent smart home system that including short message sengding and receiving uints.ZigBee network including a coordinator node, some sensor nodes and control nodes,coordinator node is used as the central controller of system, and used to handle various dataof the system, sensor node is used to collect the home information and monitor the homeenvironment, control node is used to control the switch of electrical equipments. If thesystem collected some abnormal, it will deal with the abnormal situation automatically andsend alarm message to the user’s phone, uses also can send the short message to the systemto control electrical equipment. Finally the thesis uses the Z-Stack protocol stack providedby TI to design the application software, and gives the detailed software implementation.The hardware and software involved in this design is nodular, make the design clear inlevel, this method can well realize the smart home measurement and control system basedon ZigBee.
