With the rapid development of modern science and technology, people’s material life has improved greatly. The traditional pattern of family life already can not satisfy the requirement on the intelligence and multi-function of the home life. Having a comfortable, safe and intelligent living environment has become an irresistible trend. As a major way to implement household life, the control system of smart home, meets the needs of the times, and also has an important practical significance on improving people’s lives.This thesis focuses on four key techniques in control system for smart home, including the formation of ZigBee home network, the power line carrier module, the central controller and infrared remote control module with learning function. First, the overall design requirement of the control system of smart home were analyzed. Based on the ZigBee technology and its network topology, we complete the construction of a star network with the ZigBee module for DRF series. Second, the power line carrier module based on X-10 protocol was designed and implemented, and its coupling circuit, the circuit for zero-crossing detection, the power amplifying and signal receiving circuit, as well as the modulation and demodulation process for the realization of the X-10 protocol were presented. Third, the design of infrared remote control module was presented, the design of the infrared receiving and emitting circuit, the memory circuit of flash, the power circuit and the core circuit of microcontroller were completed, and the software programs for study and send infrared carrier pulse was presented. Then, the overall implementation scheme of central controller was proposed, and the power circuit、the memory interface circuit、the network interface circuit and so on was presented, and the design of the software was showed.Finally, the content of the study was tested and validated, also the test results are given and analyzed. The results shows that the hardware and software work well, meet the application requirements of control system.
