In this paper,the important part of body welding fixture—rear door of the car body welding fixture design andwelding-assembly fixture of BIW are researched。The characteristics of the car body and design for welding fixtureare introduced at the first of the text.Then,in accordance with the requirements of welding,spot weldingtechnique are described in detail which is used in welding of the body.The welding fixture of the rear door of theBIW three-dimensional design and analysis,and the design of pneumatic control circuit system is focused on,thedesign process is:analyzed the assembly the basic structure of the inside plate assembly of the door’s,proposedRPS points distribution and the assembly process,the basic clamping and positioning components of its RPS pointsand welding fixture overall structure is designed with CATIA software.Then,simulation is carried out for each unitto check interference of the designed fixture with DMU Space Analysis,estimated the spatial relationships ofwelding fixture structure and simulated the moving parts of welding fixture movement.Finally,completed theoptimization of welding-assembly fixture structure,the thinking of flexible assembly is reflected throughout theprocess of welding fixture design..The design method in the paper used for welding fixture can also use for otherparts car body’s design.According to the Welding-assembly process and the designed fixture structure.the basicprinciple of automatic control system is determined.Pneumatic control circuit system and the Inline electricalcontrol module which bases on Valve-Island and the INTERBUS bus system were designed.The research of thepneumatic control system of welding fixture is the basic content of flexible welding production line.Combinedwelding fixture control technology with the robot control technology will play an important role in the automaticwelding production.The topic comes from an industrial project.The purpose of this research is to complete the design of a fixturewith the function of fast positioning and clamping,The research has great significance in improving the precisionquality and efficiency of the welding fixture of BIW.
