As one of the global underpinning industries, automotive manufacturing industry has to makeindividualized vehicles as soon as possible according to demand of highly competitive market.Welding assembly is one of the four techniques used by automotive manufacturing industry.Effective and rapid development of its production system means one of important conditions forthe industry’s quick satisfaction to market demand. Clamps are extensively used in the weldingassembly, its precision and progress can directly affect automotive manufacturing precision andproduction period. In the past, welding jigs used in domestic automotive industry were usuallydesign in a traditional way which is less effective and time-consuming. With gradualimplementation and application of prompt and flexible manufacture and computer-integratedmanufacture system, the traditional design method can not satisfy development of advancedautomotive welding assembly.The research of welding jig and welding thermal deformation on the door In this paper toreduce the error in the process of door welding, improve the quality of door of the precision ofwelding, the welding is of great significance.The main content of this paper is as follows:1、Introduce the background, meaning of the research content of this article and weldingfixture development present situation and future development trend at home and abroad.2、Introduce the concept and characteristics of welding fixture of door, put forward the basicrequirements of the design, evaluation and steps of the door, sum up the benchmark of the weldingfixture positioning theory of the door, including the fixture positioning theory “N-2-1”, clamp“closed analysis” and so on.3、Analysis within the door plate structure, welding process and the distribution of the RPSpoints, introduce the welding fixture positioning device, clamping device and other basic partsstructure, according to the RPS point distribution, welding process and clamping positioningcomponents of structure characteristics, using CATIA software to design reasonable overallstructure of welding fixture, and interference checking.4、Mesh plate and welding parts inside the door, select slices to equalize first try temperature steady state thermal analysis, and then carry on the transient thermal analysis. It is concluded thattemperature load into module structure statics, the solution of the thermal deformation andresidual stress of welding deformation and residual stress after a detailed analysis and discussion.
